Well, a 1600V,36A IXYS MDD26-16N1B goes for $23 Qty 1. A 64A module is about $25. With some clever switching and two heaters, you could step down to ~1/4 the power per heater. It wouldn't be as crazy as some of the electric heating schemes that I've seen. Joe
