I recently "upgraded" four florescent lights in a garage from T12 - T8's. Before I had no problems with radio interference, now it is terrible. The only thing changed is the ballasts and bulbs. I was not aware of residential or commercial rated ballasts. I'll check that out. Also as another post stated that they had a defective ballast? I know one of the three installed ballasts was from a different manufacture. Maybe disconnecting power to the fixture one at a time I might find a bad ballast? I would think the connections to the bulbs would not have changed? None of the bulbs flicker. I am kind of wishing I would have saved the old t12 ballasts, now.

I neglected to update this. I saw the customer some months later and he had replaced the ballasts and the problem was gone.
