Electric ed,
The dimming lights have always occured. It only dims at start and then brightens back up. It doesn't affect the TV (that I know of)or other appliances. It's cold enough now that I'll have to wait to check current draw on start up next year.

Arseegee
Drop is about 1 or 2 volts. Not enough to cause problem.

I still think it's in the pump, I don't feel it's really a problem since it appears to be start up only. But I need to be sure. I'll probably have to back off till it warms up and have the HVAC come out and check the pump, Maintenanceguy may have the answer, but I'm not real sharp with pumps. Thanks for all the feedback, makes my brain work for a change.
