Yup Ed, that is the kind of thing I was talking about up at note 2.
I think if I had another phone like the one next to my chair they would intercom.
I haven't even programmed in any numbers on the auto dialer yet so I am not really sure what all it does. I am truly stuck in the 60s when it comes to phones.

Like EV607797 mentioned my 4 line phones do intercom, paging, speaker, expand to 8 stations and can be used with just 1 line. I have Bell but Panasonic makes them also.

How about 2-line phones, line 1 with the dial tone, line 2 connected with one of these ring-down boxes - gibes you talking and ringing
