Judging by the length of the list on that page,
there is a lot of ways in which an Electrical worker can hurt themselves.
The majority of the accidents in the list could have been easily avoided too.

Just been reading the Mushroom Plant accident .
It makes rather interesting reading.
This Cable Installer accident isn't much better.

I went to the FACE web page too, and the really scarey thing to me is the number of states (and I'm sure local jurisdictions) that DON'T conduct an investigation into a fatal accident. Many times this is left up to the insurance company, the employer or an unqualified and overworked coroner.

I feel strongly about this because over ten years ago a very good friend of mine lost his life when a clean up person in a packing house blew the water off the top of a live 480VAC panel he was working on. His employer paid off his widow, and disciplined the contractor for not properly over seeing their employees.

I know several people that work in the same plant and I know that the cleanup people still get frustrated when they have to wait on maintenance workers. This is why Everett got killed, someone was in a hurry to meet a deadline and was trying to get him to move, by blowing the water on him.

I'd feel pretty strongly about that too, mate, that's really murder when you think about it.
Talk about a slap over the wrist with a wet bus ticket for the employee responsible.
Oddly enough, I got hit in the back by a blast of 82C(180F) water once by a wash-down worker in a meat plant while working on a live panel.
Thankfully, I wasn't burned too bad, the worker was never seen again on site.
