Interesting. If someone plugs a fixture into a receptacle is he "doing electrical work"? I recently installed 54 custom fixtures constructed by a local metal fabricator. He has a license to certify fixture as meeting UL requirements. I thought they would fail inspection but the AHJ didn't even look at them to see if they had a UL sticker.
