Here's the job.

Install receptacle for an above ground pool. 40 feet of 1/2" rigid underground (customer digs) and 50' of Romex through the basement. There already is a GFCI convenience receptacle and the only thing on the bonding grid is the motor and pool. I bid $1100.

Last week I did a job for $1500 (I did the digging). 50' 1/2" rigid with 50' 1/2" EMT on the outside of the house.

The customer just called and said he found someone much cheaper (but wouldn't say how much). Do you think my bid was too high, or was the "other guy" working too cheap? I am in central NJ.
