There is someone on the RV forum who wants to install a 50 amp sub panel in a trailer, then use this sub panel to power a TT-30 into which a second RV will be plugged into. The 50 amp sub panel in the trailer would be powered by a plug and cord into the campground pedestal. Logical reasons for doing this aside, I can't see any code violations. The one possible code requirement I see is that since the first RV is now the source of power to an additional RV would a grounding electrode be required at the first RV, much the same as one is required when powering multiple RVs from a single generator? Or is there anything in the NEC that would prohibit this installation at all?
