I am not from the east coast area, but just wanted to pass on something I was taught a long time ago: If you can work with your hands, and have a marketable skill, (i.e. a Trade) you can always find work.
Its just a matter of how much you want to prostitute your self. I mean that in a good way. The work is not always glamorous, but it does pay.
I recently took a high paying G.O.O.D JOB (Get Out Of Debt - Just Over Broke) because the economy was faltering, and now I hardly have time to sleep with all the side work I have been offered.
Any way, if you can afford to go broke for a few years, the rewards of a trade will be there forever.
Just don't believe you will get rich doing it! A fair days pay for a fair days work is all you can ask. Good luck!!!
