I have to run 24v communication wire(only one)for a metesys building control relay out a 600v Square D Model 6 mcc.Ive done a lot of building automation and always run the com wires in a separate pipe, having not seen the job yet I've been informed that there's no room for more pipe at various choke points in the run.First of all I've always been able to find room but if not is it legal to tyewrap along an existing pipe?Wire size is #18/2 stranded with 600v insulation.I'm being asked to do this by Johnson Controls themselves although they have no CEC knowledge. Not having looked at the code yet I'm wondering about mechanical protection.I'm think i can but for ascetics alone the transition out of the mcc would be in pipe. Thanks
