Last month I had the chance of clearing out the storage shed/work shop of (most likely) a former electrician before the building was razed. It was chock full of ancient supplies, mostly still new in the box 60s and 70s stuff like breakers, T12 flourescent tubes (anyone need some 20W white? Got a box of 25 *g* as well as 7 40W wharm white), switches, receptacles, plugs, boxes, 40 three meter sticks of 1950s or older conduit (steel clad tar paper),...

The one absolutely unusual thing was a collection of almost full boxes of US made HiScale wire nuts. I'm fairly sure they weren't officially exported (anything sold here would have to be labeled in German) and I don't have the slightest idea how they got here. Wirenuts are fairly rare here, even though they can be found occasionally.





I find it interesting how they inked out the two lines here instead of using different boxes for each type.

Do you have any idea how old these boxes might be?

I think in total I've got 4 boxes of different sizes.
