When I was going through engineering school the running joke about engineers trying to work in the real world was:
Measure it with a micrometer,
mark it with a crayon,
and hit it with an ax.
Sounded funny then...sounded pathetic when I got out in the world and found that it was true for oh so many of my former classmates.
