Hey gang! After a 13 year (!) layoff from one of my all-time favorite activities, I am finally going to get back into motocross!!
Yesterday evening I picked up a pretty clean 2000 Yamaha YZ250 from a private party here in So. Cali.
It'll need a bit of TLC and some minor repairs but overall it's in great shape mechanically and cosmetically. And the price was right.
I raced for three years or so back in late 1989, stopping when I moved to Northern Cal in 1993. A late bloomer, I started when I was 28.
Now pushing 45, it should be interesting. It is a great cardio workout, and it'll force me to start eating better, quit drinking soda, and maybe even get my behind back to the gym.
I'll update a pic in the "What do you look like" thread later so you can see my new toy.
In the meantime, anyone else out there ride?
