Someone take pity on me and tell me if the language change from "Equipment Grounding Conductor" to "Equipment Bonding Conductor" has any chance of being adopted for the 2008 US NEC.

Never mind. It's the first thing in the ROP that someone so kindly provided the link to. It appears that the technical correlating committee prefers to keep fiddling with the old language rather than adopting new language.

I'm an electrician by vocation and a firefighter by avocation. Firefighters often say that the fire service is three hundred years of tradition completely undisturbed by progress. Why would the CMPs want to compete with that record. Cue sound track from Fiddler on the roof. Tradition! Tradition!
