My uncle use to be a commercial and model photographer back in the 60's and 70's. He used to have like a big umbrella with the buld on the inside to illuminate the face of the model. There wasn't HID lighting at this time except for fluorecent. (I believe) There use to be some outside light fixtures that would use these same bulbs. Then along came the HID lights and these big bulbs went the way of the T-Rex.
