Joe,
The single worst accident that can happen to an Electrical worker (next to falls from hieghts), is the Arc Flash.
Simple things like using un-insulated screwdrivers of the wrong size on Live terminals.
Electricians, by and large, don't like being told that they are doing things wrong, like any other Tradesman.
Mind you, a Carpet layer won't blow himself to bits, if he stretches the carpet the wrong way!.
If you want to work on Live gear, get the right sized/type Screwdrivers that are Insulated to the tip, and for God sakes use the right size one!.
90% of Arc Fault Accidents, that happen here, end up in a screwdriver welded between one of the Phases and the Grounded back Panel.
I'm personally sick of changing Pole fuses for those that SHOULD know better!. [Linked Image]
