I found this "junction box" on a job recently. Among the items to note:

-An extension ring is used in place of a box;
-the 'conduit' is not continuous with wherever the wires go out the back of the ring;
-the EMT is installed without using a connector;
-unprotected wires enter the box; and,
-no attempt has been made to anchor any of the raceways.
