Found this picture on the internet. Somebody is gonna be mad.

Unfortunately I've seen stuff like this too much!

Nothing that a 12" blade in a SawsAll can't correct really quick. After the cutting, a few 3" & 4" Fernco Caps will get someones attention.

A Customer of mine had a similar situation where the Heating Guys installed piping from the Boiler across the front of the panel.

After seeing the picture posted here they agreed to come and reroute the pipes.

If I can find the original photo I posted I'll include it here.

Anyway, the point of it was.. making the Violation public can be used as leverage against the offending installer to make things right.

It worked in that case.

That sounds frustrating but I'm glad the heating guys were willing to make it right! I had a customer run into a similar situation where the heating team ran piping from the boiler right across the front of the electrical panel. It took some back-and-forth, but after showing them a photo, they agreed to come back and reroute everything. It’s always good to have tradespeople who can see the problem and fix it without too much hassle.

To be fair guys, a number of months ago, I had to replace a commercial switchboard on the outside of a dairy shed, I got down there to look at what I would need, their Plumber had installed this very large pressure tank
right in front of the switchboard, I couldn't even open the doors on it.
There are Tradespeople and there are tradespeople.
