I almost overlook that you guys are from Cananda area but true i understand that with multi speed motors it can be treated as seperated circuit but IMO i may disagree with you for a sec so bear with me a min.

speaking of the numbers of circuits going to the equmentit which it will be used and any motor or device need to be service it must have a disconnect switch if not in sight of power source IE. breaker box or MCC or Motor starter contractor assambley. [ i am not sure if your in sight of disconnect switch limited to 25 Metres? correct me if i am wrong here ]

and for that equment it should able disconnect the power simuiotaly [ sp ]

normally in USA verison for 2 speed motors[ 2 winding type ] normally 6 pole disconnect switch will serve the purpose here

[ ditto the European area as well ]

Merci, Marc

Well if you look at rule 28-812 it states in part that [Quote] Each multi-winding motor and its control equipment shall be provided with disconnecting means in accordance with Rules 28-600 to 28-604[End Quote] and rules 28-602(a)(b)(c)(f) all state that they must be in compliance with 14-010(b)

frenchelectrican: (quote)[ i am not sure if your in sight of disconnect switch limited to 25 Metres? correct me if i am wrong here (end quote)
Very similar here Marc except that it is 9 meters instead of 25.

Yes they do have to be in compliance with 14-010 (b), but that refers to the point of supply, not at the motor,
