If I were inspecting this job and the receptacle is 22 feet away, and in good shape, and on somethig solid (like a house) I would pass this job. I had a job like this several years ago. The inspector say an outlet solidly attached to a house but it was 21 feet away from the new hot tub in the back yard. So he made me move the outlet off the house, down under a side walk, more into the middle of the yard,(where it can get hit by a lawnmower, or people can trip over it.)on a rocket post so that the new receptacle was 19-18 feet away from the spa. Is this logical? I don't think so.
