I too have dreamed the day when everyone needs some 220v in their garage for the electric cars.
Imagine a 2 or 3 car garage getting a receptical in each bay. Then what about outside in front of the garage and down the drive way. Then maybe sub panels, feeders and service upgrades.
The dealer might have to include some money in the car financing to pay for electric work at the house.
More the reason people will buy gasoline cars.
