If that was over here, it would already be bent around the pole with tire scuffs/car paint marks all over....

Subject to damage???, vandalism? Someone really planned that work out well! [Linked Image]

ADA compliant?

Those white lines denote the working space.

The panel is fine, just needs bollards for protection. They may have been there prior to some jerk re-painting the parking lines incorrectly. Since when is it OK to park your car half out over the sidewalk?

They shouldn't have set that pole in quicksand.

I know! That city employs midget meter readers!

That is a pretty large disconnect for a 400 amp service. Perhaps it's a three pole, 600v rated disco?

Given the need to place the meter at a readable level, I don't see what else might have been done. There is a real need for combo meter pan / disco out there!

I am actually surprised that the disco has not been locked in the "on" position; it is just so tempting to 'stumble' over that handle. Or- wait- IS that a padlock I see there?

Let's see...pole round, box square....just how secure is that thing mounted? How to seal the "mounting holes" in the back?

I agree about the bollards.

Look real close, both the meter pan and disco are mounted to some rather rotted looking wood strips.

The disco at my BIL's shop look at this thread:

Are all mounted low like that. Despite the bollards, ours was hit by a truck some years ago, the fireworks where quite spectacular!!

Should'nt there be a sign above the panel saying OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR! [Linked Image]

That sure is an awful big ell on the side of that disco, just begging to get whacked [Linked Image].

Maybe that's what the extra white line is for [Linked Image].
