I agree, sharp is bad for any raceway, but
I'm not sure of what i'm looking at here, can U explain a bit?

Sorry, the pic can use a bit of explanation. I borrowed the contractors sawzall and cut one of the offending bends about 2" on each side of the coupling,you are looking in the center of the assembly, one side Type EB, one side Sched 40.

We got a letter from NEMA, answered through Carlon. They state that the assembly is designed to fit, but the sched 40 should be reamed to eliminate the sharp edge. Field modifications ???? I thought they were not allowed, but apparently I was wrong about that one. It was not an option here, because it was all together already, so the contractor simply replaced them.
