I know it's a little early but I often run out of time, just wondering how some of you were going to remember 9/11? Especially those of us that are or were involved with Fire or EMS as we had a double shot in the sucker punch attack, because we lost brother Fire/EMS workers and brother electricians. Gotta love Toby Keiths song lyrics about the attack!

Well I think we ought to send some them, the terrorist and any other well deserving, flowers.
How does a half-dozen 'Daisy Cutters' sound?? you know the ones they have to pull out the rear-end of a C-130, Just a wake up call to let them know we're still thinking about them.

NEVER FORGET !!!!

I was just thinking about it earlier -- It doesn't seem like almost a year ago. Your friends on this side of the Atlantic have not forgotten.

TxSparky,
I agree. Why isn't that *** of a ***** and his accomplices to mass murder rotting in a prison awaiting execution yet?

we, in the sleepy hamlet of Chester will be attending a memorial service sponsored by the local legion.

I wish we can take care of matters in Afghan and have closure for all......

I will be taking the day off. I worked last 9/11 and did not get home till after 9:00. I feel terrible about not going home that day but even watching the tv during the event it was hard to understand the magnitude of what was happening. I will not let work come before family again. I'll hang around home and do some yardwork, watch the tv coverage, and get my little guy on the bus for kindergarten. Pretty much an average all American day.

As a New Yorker I must say I got chills reading the threads this morning. I saw the smoke in the sky that morning from my home in Long Island. I have many freinds that were in the city that day including my wife. We were not sure she would come home she works in a high profile building like the world trade center. All the trains, bridges and tunnels were closed. No one could come into or leave the city. It was a scary time but it brought our nation together.
Someone from Ohio told me We Are All New Yorkers Now...

A good friend of mine was in the captains chair of an American 777 waiting for a minor mechanical problem to be corrected then he was to be pushed back from the ramp. While he could not see it because of the air stair, the people in the back could watch the smoke rising across the harbor. He had two passengers insist that they must get off the airplane, NOW. It was hours before they let them off the plane and back into the airport. The fella's wanting off the plane disappeared never to be seen again.

Makes you think.

I am here in northern NJ and I was travelling from one town to my next town when I looked east and saw the WTC burning. It was a very awful feeling. I first heard that it was just a plane, then when I got to the next town, I heard about the attacks.

I'm going to come home early, spend time with the family, & count my blessings. https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/Forum5/HTML/000138.html
(yes, the violation was 362-5, not 374-5)
This was about the hardest day I've ever had to stay at work. The fury, frustration, and sadness I felt...& all I could do about it was cry.
My heart goes out to you that lost friends and co-workers. You and they are still my HEROES. God Bless you all...S
