Were you ever convinced you saw something and when you went back you couldn't find it?

The lunch room conversation centered around old time electrical gadgets. I KNOW I saw a picture posted here from a magazine about a "4 tube computer" or something like that, showed junior looking at a box that had a little round screen that looked like a radar screen. Told all the guys about it, now I can't find it. some things are as sure as death and taxes.

Anybody else remember that one? Or am I more nuts than I realize. [Linked Image]

I think some of it must come from slopping around in all those leaky voltages and slippery amps lying in puddles on the floor.

Don't those voltages and amps know enough to leave once they're discharged??
