Bussman used to have a short film on what happens to wires with high current flow. This was made before breakers became more sophisticated and they were trying to emphasize advantage of fuses over breakers, but it is amazing how much force can be applied by emf. It is similar to high pressure hose, if you are not careful you can be smacked by them also.

Heres one example of what happens when you put 30 amps on a piece of number 14. The wire used to be white.
