If it is NOT a Milwaukee, it is NOT a Sawzall. Correction: If it is NOT a Milwaukee, it is NOT a Sawzall®.

... I just ordered the kit at a local tool show,.. $700.00, not cheap, but I tried it out at the show, and it was pretty "keen" The larger battery looks to be a bit cumbersome, but it's as light as my 18 volt battery,..with longer run time..(supposedly)we'll see about that..I should receive it this week, and I'll let ya'all know how it performs.. I hope that "caveat emptor" does not apply here.. Russ

I agree it would be nice if batteries could interchange but I doubt it. As for a car that uses a different fuel is coming with the fuel cell as a way to power the vechile you just can't go to any gas station for hydrogen.

+1 for interchange betwen brands... but I doubt you'l ever see it as well.
Manufacturers are still too "My tool, my acessories" minded to think of little things like convenience for the consumer/user.

I've been using DeWalt 24-volt tools for several years now. I have a hammer-drill, a reciprocating saw, and a 6" circular saw. They all use the same battery, charger, and corded battery-eliminator. I have six batteries, two chargers, and two battery eliminators. These tools are easily as powerful as the equivalent corded models, and even stronger when used with the battery eliminator, which is the same size and shape as a battery, and has a cooling fan. The newer batteries even have built-in fans, but I haven't needed a replacement yet. Let me see if I can find some pix. Okay, found a site. I have the top three tools, not the SDS drill, which I don't need since I have a Bosch SDS-max rotary hammer. Here's a link to some pix of the newer, fan-cooled-battery models: http://www.mytoolstore.com/dewalt/dew01-01.html Here's a link to a page with the plug-in power supply. Notice that it clips onto the tools just like a battery: http://www.shopforpowertools.com/cg...AsinSearch&templates=2&locale=us

The battery eliminator is pretty cool, I'd buy one in a second if there was an 18V version for Milwaukee
