A customer in his 50's asked me if we do "heavy ups". I had heard this term used about 6 years ago and remebered someone telling me its another way of saying panel upgrade or service upgrade. Does anyone know where this term "heavy up" came from. Thank you.
It means to upgrade the service "Heavy it up" as in "Beef it up". Apparently it is slang in the MD / D.C. area, as David Shapiro (the author who resides in that region) uses the term in his books and magazine articles.
