I've installed bath fans in showers before too. The one we used was a Broan S-series. S-110 or S-80. I think it makes for nice installation. Get one with a light and you don't need a shower can.

It says right on the housing that it is UL Listed for use over bathtubs and showers when connected to a GFCI-protected branch circuit.
