It's been a long 'ol time since I have seen or used a Hickey!
Seen and used a few of those Benders with the slip covers - but this also was Moons ago!

As to the newer Benders (look like Ideal???), they are 30° types, which I personally prefer for most work.
(offset is at 30° when Bender Handle is straight up).

Ryan;
(per the newer and bluer Benders)
On these, to find center mark point of Bend Beginning (for 3-point bends, or center line bend point for Saddles), bend a piece of conduit to a full 30°, look on the Bender's head about 2" back from the front hook, you will see two notches across the top lip on both sides (for ½" EMT Benders it's about 2" back, more for ¾" Bender Heads).
The Bend beginning center line on the bent Conduit should fall between the notches. Mark this point where the bend on the Conduit actually begins, for future reference.

When Bending 3-points or Saddles, place your "Bend Here" marks on the Conduit at that reference.

Just a little FYI!
