John is absolutely correct. For a typical drop ceiling installation use an H7 can, not an H7RT. If the ceiling is to be insulated after use the H7ICT. The Halo cans have bars designed so they can be "hooked" right on the grid. My problem with your installation is the tile sagging from the fixture weight and the non-support of the fixture.
The material the can is being installed in is not an issue. These cans can be mounted in wood ceilings if necessary. The ICT cans can, and usually do, have insulation right over and around them. Alot of installations we see have "blown in" done after, talk about the insulation being close.
Any ICT can is specifically desigend for this purpose. Besides, fiberglass doesn't burn. [Linked Image]
