If you check under the DCA website under codes and standards there is a section about updating of codes and I found the section where we can voice our opinion. The 2008 NEC isn't up there yet, but when it is, I will tell all the EC's here in my area and my supply house to go to the site and voice their opinion. I believe with all of these changes, a simple service change will cost a lot more and a lot of contractors will not even get permits.
