High voltage (4160) single conductors 750 1.43 dia. 3sets of 3 and 6 sets of 3.Only reference for Single conductors on installtion is 392(B)2 which refers you to 392.3(B)(1) . 392.12 Says they can be grouped or bundled . The way 392.12 is written it looks like even thought you bundle them. The tray must be sized as thought they were laying side by side.Am I reading this right??? I know the way there installed affects there Ampacity. Per 392.13(B)

I read it the same as you, add up all the diameters of each individual cable, bundled or not.

Yooper- I'm not sure you are correct or maybe I'm not reading your statment the way you meant it to be read. I think it says that if you want to bundle cables together or if you are using triplex or quadplex you can use them and you should maintain spacing between the bundles equal to the diameter of a single conductor, so the spacing between two bundles of 4/0 would be the equal to the diameter of a single 4/0 conductor. The spacing between the wouldn't have to be equal to the diameter of the bundle. Is that the way you understand it?
