Hi,
Does the site accpet donations of any kind? I would be interested to know. I know they do not charge for the use of the site but maybe they would use the donations in a charitable way or for something that would benefit electricians?

Just curious.

I get a lot of great information from the site and would like to give something back.

Merry Christmas!

-regards

MUSTANG

Mustang,

Nice thought, but Monetary Donations are not accepted.

Information is always welcome though.

I think one way to help benefit the site would be to purshase tools and books through the links to the left. I think I'll buy a couple of laser plumb bobs for the trucks right now. Thanks for the site Bill.

Personally,
I agree with Bill, I would not like to see this site to go down that particular road.
The Electrical Contractor Network website, as far as I know is funded through the purchase of various media from the left side border.
(I could also be wrong)
But, what we have here at EC Net, is a totally impartial, member-orientated site, I would like to say that it should be kept that way, I would not like to see a corporate bent on this site and to a certain extent, niether would you guys.
This site has run for 4 years and it is picking up new members all the time.
This site is a credit to Bill Addiss for keeping things in check without the inherent sponsor-ship problems, no Pop-up ads.
At a real site like this, there should be no money changing hands.
That's just my take on the situation. [Linked Image]

I wish I could donate something too but at least I feel a bit better now since I purchased two books through the Webstore- American Electricians' Handbook (it's a great read for me but where do you get those porcelain cleats nowadays???) and Soares' Book On Grounding (what an outstanding book on the subject!!!).

Yes, I'm a surveyor, not an electrician, but I do thoroughly enjoy studying the subject. I cannot possibly say how much I have benefitted from this website.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I of course appreciate what Bill has started here. [Linked Image]

I would also like to point out that I have never seen Bill mention the sales aspect and I am sure he only did this time in response to a direct question about it.

Thanks again, Bob
