We are currently bidding a job with a 2000A/480v MCC. We are getting quotes from SqD, A-B, and Furnas, but I'm a little gunshy of using the Furnas equipment. I don't have much experience with Furnas MCC's.
I have worked with A-B and SqD. We have been installing SqD exclusively for the past 5 years or so.
I would like to hear opinions and experiences from those who have installed Furnas or work with it on a regular basis.
i have some expernice with furnas mmc system and right now let you know that it is merged with I.T.E. Semins Co. and the Furnas is very good company and they have few neat oddball stuff you can use it too.. and i don't have much troble with them at all and the warnitty is the same with other manufacters. cost wise itis between Sq D and CulterHammer products but it depenind on your spec. if need more question you can concat moi any time.
Pas de problme,il marche n'est-ce pas?"(No problem, it works doesn't it?)

The company I work for has been using Furnas and now Seimans MCC's for over 10 years and I have not seen any major problems with them. Now the newer stuff with the Seimans MCP's may be a different story. I have had some trouble with them in pump panels
