My friend Vern the Plumber sent me this. He saw lots of violations of the NEC:

How many are there? I quit counting after I ran out of fingers and toes.
Vern says I should be thankful that I've got an enforceable set of rules.
I think he's right [Linked Image]...S
Edited...I'll eventually get it right

This was taken in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, on Vern's vacation.
I wouldn't put up his plumbing violation pictures if I had to...yuk.
(I guess this "picture" thing is contagious).
It's not uncommon to see things like this on the main street of anyplace down there.
The people don't have much money, and they depend to a large amount on our "demo" as a source of materials. (Most of our demoed material goes South, and it's not odd to see a "Spec Grade Hubbell Receptacle" connected to a piece of Zip Cord.)
It's a good thing we have the NEC.

A little off topic, but. The company that I worked for was moving a plating machine to Indonesia. Over there virgin PVC is very expensive. It has to be imported from Singapore. So they mainly use used PVC. If it is only used once then it is first generation PVC. If it has been used twice then it is second genration. Then of course there is third generation PVC. You can guess how many times that has been used.
