I notice there is a proposal for the 2005 NEC that would require holiday lighting to be listed. This will probably get my nickname changed from electrical nazi ( like Sienfeld's soup nazi..."no meter for you"!) to inspector scrooge!

I may have missed something. What holiday was just recently that would have incorporated that kind of lighting? The 4th of July maybe? That setup would send up enough sparks & fireworks to qualify for something. Would not "temporary lighting" being misused in a permanent manner be more descriptive. I don't suppose it was on a GFI protected circuit .. no .. probably not. My handyman must have been working during his vacation. ERFERTT
