"I think everyone will get a kick out of this. These are pitchforks a roofer decided to store on the roof so they wouldn't have to take them down for a several day job.

Of course they weren't working today.

You got it right, just resting on the vent pipe. There are two actually resting against the vent and a third resting against the handle of the other two. I got in touch with the roofer and got them to remove them within an hour or so.
