I,m changing an old industriul unit into three lofts.I,m using the existing incoming 600v fusible disconnect which feeds a 225kva transformer which then feeds a 800amp metering section. My question is do I need a disco in between the transformer and metering board or does the 600v main disco cover this.

The main disconnect should be fine until you get to the 800-amp 208-volt splitter.

Then you will have to install disconnect switches for each separate service, with or without utility or check meters, for the different lofts.
