Happy new year!
Has anyone here ever heard of or seen or used seal offs on pvc RNMC, sch 40 or 80?
In my over 40 years in the trade, I’ve never even heard of anyone doing this.
Is this even legal by the NEC?
Have always RMC.
Thanks

As long as you use an approved product, it is OK. I have seen it preventing ant invasion as much as anything. If you sleeve a ground electrode conductor with an open end RNC in Florida, you might end up with an ant farm in your service disconnect enclosure.

For sealing against bugs, condensation, and the like duct seal putty or expanding foam are fine.

For explosion proof wiring you’re limited to listed materials — and that rules out PVC.
