I came across a "commercial" for one of those wiring systems. (I don't know what you call them in English, but there are about a million brands and designs. All proprietary, of course.)

Anyway, this way of wiring commercial premises differs a bit from the American way and I thought someone might find it interesting. The clip is in Swedish but I don't think the language matters. [Linked Image]

Isn't it amazing how fast they install things in a commercial? I'd like some of that cable that appears of out nowhere, ready for connection in the box...

The Link worked fine.
It looks like a nice system. I have a hard time believing that the pieces will fit tightly but slide back and forth as easily as shown.

I call them surface mount raceway.

Like the universal power/data point, not finicky about that lone French/Belgian (was it)power outlet ?
