Just look at these:

Note the creative use of a single ungrounded 2.5A Europlug to supply multiple BS1363 and/or BS546, NEMA and other outlets via an extension reel

Rather scary looking!

Eastern Europe, perhaps?

Maybe countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa. I wouldn't be surprised that they're even for sale in PRC, Hong Kong and Taiwan (even though Taiwan uses American style plugs).

If the wire gague is made big enough, wouldn't a Europlug be able to handle that amp load? Considering how under-rated and over-designed a lot of British and European plugs seem to be...

I noticed a certain plug design that they're featuring has been ripped off from an American manufacturer (or should I say marketer. The actual plugs are now made in Cooper's factory somewhere in Mexico [Linked Image] ).....

The test current of the Europlug is 10A if I remember correctly. But you loose the earth on the BS 1363 socket!

Notice item 825

COMPLETE ripoff of MK's patented shuttering system.
Funny company. The homepage/catalogue is rather confusing. I sure hope the actual products aren't made to the specifications mentioned. (13A socket rated 10A???)

Those British circuit breakers looks rather American to me:

Talking of ripoff: YYL (MODEL HAGER C)RCD
http://www.yuanky.com/cb-yyl-rcd.htm

I bet a few just "happen" to be marked with "Hager" when they come off the line! [Linked Image] What other reason would there be to have twenty different styles of RCD's?
Their American range looks better.

But what does "Protection of mis-grounding of neutral line: less than 2MHz" mean?

Are double switches in a receptacle cover common in the US? (The switch to the right in the left picture)
Well...this is the knock-off Yuanky-brand plug I was talking about:

And this is Cooper Wiring Devices' "original"

There's also a two-pin version.

Hmmm.....unless Cooper licenced the design to them also? Probably not.
Are those Cooper-manufactured plugs the old Leviton design? I have a couple of Leviton armored caps that look exactly like the one pictured.
I'd have to check, but I believe the Leviton fittings have the screws flat against the plug face. I know the Cooper ones are vertical to the face (Cooper uses the same face for their metal clad, rubber, and lexan plugs, and I have plenty of the last two around, as I almost exclusively use Cooper fittings)
There may be a little good news on resolving poor-quality imported electrical goods.
