Went to do a job this morning, (add a telephone extension and some cat5 for a few PC`s) Found the key under the mat as where the customer said he would leave it, so anyway get all the cables in by 10:30 ish and go out to get my flask for a cuppa, Shut the door behind me and suddenly had a bad feeling, yup i was locked out, all my tools drill etc locked in [Linked Image].

I went home did nothing till 6 (apart from putting off a few other jobs i had lined up for the day) went back and connected up the cables which took half an hour [Linked Image].

So a 3 Hour job ended up lasting 9 odd hours [Linked Image], anyway im laughing at it all now and wont do that again.

sanUK,
You're not the first person to have done this before!. [Linked Image]

Sounds like one of those days when you should have just stayed in bed! [Linked Image]

On a related subject, how many of you use the self-locking when you leave your vehicle?

I decided long ago that this could lead to keys locked in the vehicle, and I always lock up using the key.

paul, are their plastic "credit-card" car-door keys in the UK? [Fit nicely in your wallet.] Seems like I lock my keys in the ignition about every six weeks.

I've not come across anything like that here, but many modern cars have centralized locking and a remote "zapper" -- In reality a small UHF transmitter fitted into an oversized keyfob.
