Paul has a topic on Alternative Energy,
May I post a side-line to this?.
What are the requirements for connecting an
AC Generator to an installation, where you live, where it is not required to give No-Break continuity.
Your thoughts, please-

The main requirement is that the generator feeds through a proper transfer switch, switching all phases across, or by other suitable interlocked switches so that there is no possibility of connecting the generator directly to the utility line.

I don't have the specs at hand, but there are certain minimum contact spacing requirements for such switches. and they need to have a center "off" position.

Paul,
Seemingly, if there is a chance that this type of equipment can back-feed into the
Grid system, does it need to be synchronised with the same?. [Linked Image]

No. The rules are based upon making sure that the generator can't back feed into the network, so there's no requirement for synchronization.
