Please look at the 2" rigid pipe in these pics. I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or just give up!


First of all, we all know strut may be used as a pipe support:

No, that is actually a tree trunk- roots in the ground.

Boy that installer must have had a lot of time on his hands waiting for his support to grow!

I'd be willing to call the tree trunk some pretty solid support... Might have a deuce of a time getting a UL stamp on it [Linked Image]

The hole through the trunk looks pretty well made; I wonder how it was made?

That stump looks like a good place to sit down and have a beer while installing a set-screw couplilng on some unsupported EMT.

Looks like it was either bend an offset or go through. Must have left the bender back at the shop???? Man what some people think up! [Linked Image]
