The NEC has banned the use of SO "above the grid." Applications like this are, I'm sure, the inspiration behind the ban.

Wow!,
This job really has got everything!.
Is there a bushing on that pipe where the cables head down through the cieling tile?.
Is it my eye-sight or is that some osort of a dodgy set-up on top of the troffer in the 3rd pic?.

I've never liked the idea of cords being fed through suspended cieling grids, I've seen a few of them energised in my time.
They don't lend themselves to good grounding/bonding in any case.
