These are pictures of a service upgrade done a few years ago. I was doing a slow burn because the owner (the mother of friends who helped raise my children) said that she was charged $2000 for the job. She looked for the invoice and couldn't find it, but I saw a permit for $1000.

If it was a proper job $1000 would be in the ballpark (there were some extras), but $2000 would be gouging, & who needs to gouge a nice old lady?

Has anyone seen the service riser bent around a gutter like this? It was a first for me.

It looks a little better than going straight thru it. Just MHO.

But this is a first for me also.

The panel pictures and meter pictures are showing a violation of Article 250.64(B) and (C) (Securing and Continuous). I thought the mast might be a violation of 344.30(A)...Securing and Supporting, but "with approval", it's allowed over 3' on a mast. It's certainly a violation of 230.24 Clearances (less than 18"). These are the same project as "This Old House".
