Hi
My name is Bob and I own B. C. Electric in Racine WI.

This is a picture of a existing light fixture I took down and replaced with some outside recessed lighting a a customers home recently. I had to send this. Notice the plug screwed into the light socket of the recessed light. But also the wood to replace the glass. It suppports the hanging fixture that replaced the recessed light. But the romex was not long enough notice the splice at the very end of the black romex. I replaced it with a row of recessed light in the eve of the fromt of the home.

Ahhh, I've come across this a few times... Usually what I find is a surface mount fluorescent mounted over the recessed light, with a similar screw in outlet & cord running things.... Typically 50's - 70's LA strip malls & older medical/office buildings...
