My friend, the plumber bought a house. One of the big selling points was the "all copper" plumbing. He wasn't that impressed.

This was his laundry circuit.

I see how the tab that is supposed to prevent you from inserting a three-pin grounded plug into that female connector was sliced right off...

Why does the jacket on the right-most cable look like it's overheated and burnt? [Linked Image]

But why go to the store and buy a proper receptacle, box, and cover plate when you have this old extension cord handy that you can utilize?! [Linked Image]

Is there even a wirenut holding the ground wires together? It looks as though they're just twisted around each other. (Not that it would have much effect on the washer anyway [Linked Image]).

It's really cute how the tap on the water line is pointing directly at the burnt spot on the cable [Linked Image]

I wonder which came first...the extension cord tap or the third piece of romex (anyone wanna guess which one is the "odd man out"?) Too bad a box, a receptacle, and a licensed sparky wasn't a part of this setup.

Now for a little fuzzy logic...in case of fire, the little plastic tubing will melt and extinguish the fire... [Linked Image]
