This service is at a friend's house. He converted it to a three flat and did all the work himself. At the time it was done, there were no permits or inspections required. The only inspection was by the POCO, and they obviously approved!

Although I have not corrected this yet, he has hired me to do all of his electrical work since. He also used to do work for his boss, who has a few hundred rental properties, now he refuses to do it and has him call me. He says "I don't have the proper tools and the proper knowledge, so I won't do it. Proof positive that we can convince people to leave it to the professionals.

I think the sattelite dish is really a disguised showerhead and if you open one of those "fuse boxes" you'll find the faucet handle in there... [Linked Image]

Got a question for you guys...seeing only one raceway from the meters to the house, Isn't it a violation to have all three loads enclosed together like that?

Kinda weird, having all this stuff mounted on a pedestal instead of directly to the side of the house...maybe they didn't want to mess up the siding (?).

Safe bet the riser cables will never fall out of their raceway given the special "waterproofing" glue.

Wherever that is..another testimonialfor Licenses, Permits, and Inspections, all by qualified personel. Three loads ion one pipe, no OCP outside, so I guess it goes to 3 mains inside??? Gee...closest point upon entry into the building??? Maybe, maybe not.

Hey, maybe the siding guys took it off the house to do the siding, and forgot to put it back!!!

Hover mouse pointer over the picture.
Right Click
Click "Save Picture As..."
Save to folder of your choice.
Open that folder and file, a viewer should pop up with the pic in it, probably your browser.
Click on "File" and then click on "Print"

Viola`!

I was born in Chattanooga, TN. I have lived all up and down the middle of the US, from Texas to Illinois, where I live now. I have worked extensively in Europe. Spent two years just outside of Paris. Had an English electrical crew. Maybe that is where the "three flat" expression comes from.

John, If the siding guys took it off it would be hanging from the connections at the drop. I wonder if this requires an electrical and a plumbing permit.

What if the riser was rigid conduit and Crouse-Hinds EL6 45° els were used?
